Elyes Mnakbi, CEO of the company Tunisair announced this Thursday, July 4, 2019 the establishment of a new committee to monitor passenger baggage in various Tunisian airports. These commissions are made up of police and customs.
This commission will work throughout this summer to save the reputation of Tunisian airports. The number of baggage thefts decreased from 2016 complaints in 2013 to 270 in 2018.
Mnakbi disclosed that he was also the victim of the theft of his luggage during one of his trips.
The national airline’s chief executive assured that Tunisair has focused its efforts on dismantling specialized flight bands, but others are emerging quickly, according to his statements.
